This policy explains how the “Tahaqaq” platform handles data when you use the link-checking service via the website or the Telegram bot.

Data we process

• The URLs you submit for scanning.
• Scan results and logs: the risk score, which engines flagged a link, and scan timestamps.
• Basic technical usage data such as request type and timestamp. To protect the service from abuse we may temporarily process your IP address for rate-limiting.
• You are not required to create an account or provide personal information to use the public scanning service.

Why we process it

• To run the scan and show you the result.
• To improve detection accuracy and the specialised Kuwaiti detection engine.
• To protect the service from abuse and enforce rate limits.

Scanned links as threat intelligence

Submitted links — especially malicious or suspicious ones — may be stored in our threat-intelligence database to protect other users and help track phishing campaigns. For this reason, do not submit links that contain sensitive or private information (e.g. links that embed access tokens or personal data).

Retention

We retain scan logs and threat data for as long as needed for security and analysis purposes. Unnecessary operational data is periodically deleted or aggregated.

Third parties

To complete a scan, links may be sent to external scanning services (such as VirusTotal and other security engines), which are subject to their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data.
